Churches against Corruption was formed as a response to the civil society’s Unite against Corruption campaign. South African churches representing all denominations have agreed that churches must stand united against corruption together with civil society.
The Churches against Corruption is a campaign that is firstly about mobilising the greater South African Church to take responsibility for what happens in South Africa. 80% of the South African population are after all Christian. We pray that the Church will not drop the baton, but will continue to fight for the good of South Africa.
The message of the Church to society – which includes individuals, organisations, churches, businesses and government – is a call to the entire nation to repent from all forms of corruption. Christians everywhere must live in a manner that is worthy of Jesus Christ, who is our LORD and Saviour.
Churches against Corruption is also working in partnership with Expose It SA and Unashamedly Ethical.
